Etihad Airways Terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Etihad Airways uses Terminal 4 for both its departure and arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Etihad Airways JFK Terminal offers a direct route - New York to Abu Dhabi (AUH) - and is the only Etihad-operated flight from JFK. 

From Abu Dhabi, the airline connects to India, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa. From JFK Airport's Etihad Terminal, travelers can reach 50+ global destinations, but via Abu Dhabi. 

Etihad Airways Departure JFK Terminal

Etihad JFK Terminal has a daily flight from JFK to Abu Dhabi. The flight (EY100) usually departs daily at 10:00 PM (local time) from JFK Terminal 4 and arrives around 19:30 local time the next day. The flight has a duration of 13-14 hours. 

Check-in: The Etihad Airways check-in counter at Terminal 4 JFK is located on Level 4 (Departure Level). There are dedicated counters for Economy Class and Business/First Class. The counter opens 4 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage drop: Located next to the check-in counters is the baggage drop at Level 4. Priority baggage drop is available for Business, First Class, and Etihad Guest Gold/Platinum members.

• For oversized baggage and those carrying musical instruments/sports equipment, there are designated counters in Terminal 4. 

Security screening: Immediately after baggage drop in Terminal 4, proceed to the security screening counter at Terminal 4 international departures zone. 

• Those flying in Business Class, First Class, and alongside Elite members can access fast-track lanes.

• Economy Class passengers proceed through regular TSA checkpoints. For expedited security at JFK, TSA PreCheck is available. 

Lounges: Etihad Business Class and First Class travelers, Etihad Guest Gold & Platinum members, and Priority Pass members can access the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. This lounge at JFK is located post-security. It opens daily from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. 

• Emirates passengers who are SkyTeam Elite Plus members can access the Delta Sky Club for free. 

• Travelers who are Star Alliance Gold members can access the Air India Maharaja Lounge. 

Boarding gates: Etihad passengers at JFK board flight from the international concourse at Terminal 4. Commonly, B gates are assigned for Etihad Airways flights. 

• Priority boarding is available for First Class, Business Class, and Etihad Guest Gold/Platinum members.

• Families with children and those with reduced mobility will board next.

• Economy Class passengers will board by zone. 

• Boarding for EY100 (JFK to Abu Dhabi) begins 45 minutes before departure.

JFK Etihad Arrival Terminal

All Etihad Airways flights arrive in JFK Terminal 4. EY101 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) lands at New York JFK Terminal 4 around 8:30 AM local time.

Passengers upon arrival at JFK Etihad Arrival terminal have to proceed through immigration, baggage claim, and customs before exiting into the arrivals hall.

After disembarkation, passengers exit into Terminal 4 international arrivals concourse and follow “Arrivals / Immigration” signs.

Immigration: Located at Level 1 at Terminal 4 at the International Arrivals Hall.  The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) counters handle clearance. Global Entry kiosks at JFK T4 are also available. 

Baggage claim: The Etihad baggage claim at Terminal 4 JFK is located on Level 1. Priority baggage delivery is available for Business Class, First Class, and Etihad Guest Gold/Platinum members.

Customs screening: Immediately after baggage claim, passengers will proceed to customs. Passengers who have nothing to declare can follow the Green channel. If there are items to declare, follow the Red channel. 

Exit to the Etihad arrivals halls at JFK airport. From there, travelers have access to NYC Yellow taxis, AirTrain JFK, and buses. The taxi stand is located outside the Arrivals Hall, Level 1.
