Norse Atlantic Airways Terminal at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Norse Atlantic Airways operates from Terminal 7 at the hub at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). From Norse Atlantic Airways JFK Terminal, the airline offers daily flights to Rome (FCO), and London Gatwick. The airline operates in the transatlantic market from JFK.

However, its services to Athens have recently been reduced, and it now offers operations on this route on a seasonal basis. In addition, the Norse Atlantic Airways has suspended its non stop opteations from JFK to Paris, Berlin, and Oslo.

The airline will move to New Terminal 6 by the end of 2026. Until the move, all operations will remain active from JFk Terminal 7. 

Departure at Norse Atlantic Airways JFK Terminal

Norse Atlantic Airways departs from JFK Terminal 7 to Rome (FCO) around 12:30 AM during peak seasons. The airline operates long-haul overnight flights from Norse Atlantic Airways' departure terminal at JFK, arriving in Rome the following day at around 14:30.

In addition, the airline operates flights from JFK Terminal 7 to Athens at approximately 12:45 AM, arriving the following day at 4:40 PM local time.

Check-in: The check-in for Norse Atlantic Airways will occur at Zone E if Level 2 and starts opening 4 hours before departure. It closes 1 hour before departure. Drop checked luggage at the counter.

Security: JFK Terminal 7 offers TSA PreCheck for eligible passengers. Standard Security screening at JFK Terminal 7 takes around 25-40 minutes. Also, travelers must keep their boarding pass and travel documents easily accessible to move through security smoothly. 

Boarding: Arrive at the boarding gate at least 45 minutes before departure. The Norse Atlantic Airways offers priority boarding in the following order:

• Passengers who have purchased Priority Boarding

Arrivals at Norse Atlantic Airways JFK Terminal

Flights from Athens, Rome, or London Gatwick land at JFK Terminal 7. Passengers disembark directly into the concourse of the Norse Atlantic Airways terminal of JFK.

U.S. Immigration: After deplaning, passengers follow the signs to Immigration and US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) on Level 1 of Terminal 7. Travelers must present their passport, visa, and ESTA (if required). Eligible members can use the Global Entry kiosk at JFK Terminal 7 to speed up their process. 

Baggage claim: The baggage claim area is located at Level 1, next to Customs. Check the flight information monitors to find the baggage carousel assigned for the flight. 

Once passengers exit the Norse Atlantic Airways arrivals terminal at JFK, they have access to rideshares, shuttles, yellow taxis, and rental cars. 

Amenities Available to Norse Atlantic Airways Passengers at JFK Terminal 7

Free WiFi is available for passengers throughout JFK Terminal 7. Besides, there are ATMs and currency exchange at multiple locations at the Norse Atlantic Airways terminal at JFK. 

In addition Dining options at JFK Terminal 7 include Shake Shack, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Dunkin, Auntie Anne’s, Red Mango, and many others. The shopping options are located pre and post-security, ranging from duty-free stores to convenience retail shops. 

Lounges: The airline does not operate its dedicated lounge at JFK Terminal 7. However, Norse Atlantic Airways and Alaska Airlines are codeshare partners, so business class passengers and other eligible members can access the Alaska Lounge at Terminal 7.

In addition to the amenities, the Norse Atlantic Airways JFK terminal offers airline services at the check-in counters. Fees charged at the airport depend on the fare type.

Flight change: Passengers can request flight changes at the Norse Atlantic check-in desk at Zone E up to 2 hours before departure. The airline charges a 200 USD change fee for Economy fares, while Premium fares waive this fee. However, any fare difference still applies.

Cancellations: Economy Light and Standard fares incur a 250 USD cancellation fee per passenger and can be canceled up to 3 hours before departure. The airline issues travel credit for Economy fares, which can be used for future travel within 365 days from the date of travel. Basic fares are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. 

Extra baggage purchase: Passengers can purchase extra baggage, but it chaper to pay online. Norse Atlantic Airways charges an additional fee of 80-120 USD for each extra luggage. 

Flight upgrade fees: Passengers can request a Business Class upgrade at the airport, and it is subject to availability. The upgrade with Norse Atlantic Airways usually costs 500-700 USD one way, depending oin the route and demand. 

Pet travel fees: Norse Atlantic allows pets in the cabin and charges 150 USD each way. Pets must meet the size, weight, and carrier requirements. Pet relief area at JFK Terminal 7 are available outside arrivals and post-security near Gates 9 & 10.

Travelers flying from Norse Atlantic Airways terminal at JFK can access daily departures to Rome and London Gatwick, along with access to a dedicated check-in counter designed for international flyers. For arriving passengers, Terminal 7 offers a streamlind access to there is a streanlinds access to immigration, baggage claim, and ground transportation on Level 1.

Going forward, Norse Atlantic Airways will shift its base to the new Terminal 6 by December 2026.
