JFK International Airport Terminal 7 is one of the oldest terminals and first-of-its-kind and was developed by the foreign international carriers British Airways and Air Canada.  

Terminal 7 JFK is the primary hub for international carriers like Ethiopian Airlines and Kuwait Airways, which operate important routes from here.

JFK International Airport Terminal 7 has three levels: arrivals level, departure level, and concourse level.

The arrival level has baggage claim and ground transportation options. 

The departure level has check-in areas and a security screening zone.

While the concourse level is connected to the boarding gates.

What Amenities Are Available at JFK Terminal 7?

John F. Kennedy International Airport's Terminal 7 serves the majority of international flights and is equipped with dedicated facilities for families and nursing mothers.

The family restrooms are available on the domestic side and near Gate 9. For nursing mothers, there are private lactation pods that are located adjacent to Gate 9 and between Gates 3-4. 

In addition, the standard restrooms are located throughout Terminal 7. 

Passengers traveling with pets have a dedicated pet relief area at JFK Terminal 7 behind Hudson News, near Gate 9, andis an indoor facility. Outside the Arrivals Area, at the west end, is an outdoor facility.

Terminal 7 at JFK remains the reliable hub for airlines including Aer Lingus, Air Canada, ANA, and domestic carriers like Frontier Airlines. 

However, the Terminal is in the final phase of a 19 billion USD redevelopment project. It will be merged into the new Terminal 6 and is set to open in late 2026. Airlines from Terminal 7, such as ANA, Air Canada, and Frontier Airlines, have already announced that they will shift their operations to the new facility.
